My dear 7, I started to do a post similar to this and then retreated in avoidance of the usual discussion. You may have given me the courage to complete it. Great minds think alike :)

Storms,
I don't do politics here for that reason, plus I believe a political blog it is just too easy.
When there are men and women that will go die to protect my family and yours, they are my friends. And yes I do beleive that they are protectiung us.
Try as I might, I don't find politics, but rather courage.

I guess it is just my way of thinking... but when I see these pictures, I don't see politics. Yes the theme is military, but I see friends. Friends being there for one another.

My husband is retired military,
and I am so very proud he served
this country.
He and I may have different viewpoints on the war... but, I do
support our troops!
God blees every single one of
them. They are heroes!
Yes... these brave soldiers are our friends.

Silent One and Margie,
That is the spirit in which the photos are intended. Warm vibes to you both.

That picture did bring tears to
my eyes... What brave young men and women these soldiers are.
Thank you for posting it.

Just as Silent one saw Friends ... so did I. I am especially touched by the grieving women in the photo .. they could be friends, sisters, mothers .. however they share and support one another as many of us do with our friends every day. Our soldiers are brave and young and fighting for us and for their country. I know several soldiers, a few of them are my family members, I can't help but feel they need my support just as much as my friends do.
Thank You for this post!!

Lady D,
I have been saving 'friends' images for some time now. I have thousands that I keep as an historical documentation for generations of my family that follow me/us. Many are very wrenching. These 3 are 3 drops in a great ocean of time and courage.
I pray for a day when these images will be looked at in a sense of wonder by coming generations. Generations that do not know war; and wonder how it was; bathed in their peace, and free from the reality of dispute.
We can all hope, pray, have faith and apply ourselves to the task.

Mr Seven
We studied speech writing in the spring in Political Science class. These words you wrote are stirring and I think you should apply to be a speechwriter. You could do it for sure dude.
