Mianus ignored

Dudes, I am so bummed. All this talk today about the designation of three new planets...and yet not a single mention of Mianus. Bummed I tell ya.....having Mianus ignored cuts deep!

According to the article I read, one of the new planets is named after Xena, warrior princess. I think you should protest for Mianus to be included among the new names. Remind them of all the publicity given to Uranus...Mianus would definitely be a hit with the public. :P

7, I don't like to 'bare' bad news, but it may too small to recognized without the proper instruments. Perhaps the audio-telescopes might pick up something, or an extremely sensitive spectrometer. It's possible it may be eclipsed by other bodies in the same orbit. I don't want to think about this much more.

Angie,
A very fine point you make!

Rob,
I endorse your cease-thinking doctrine.

Seven,
I don't know if I would consider Mianus as a "Heavenly" body; what, from a beach going, sun bathing point of view. However, one can imagine the radio waves, on the FM dial, with the new love song- "Mianus over Chicago" will be popular. Gives a new light to the windy city.

Or, should I say...
It will give the Windy City a new Aire about it.

As I sat and watched the evening news.... the mention of the 3 new planets... made me smile , as I thought of you and your funny talk about Mianus. Such a shame it was overlooked... Maybe next year!

My condolences. Hopefully the overlooking doesn't cut deep enough to cause a rift in Uranus.

69,
Yes, it hurts sweetie; think it needs a little kissin?

Steve,
Hopefully not in Uranus or mine either. Fingers crossed. Errr...legs crossed.

Silent Girl,
I notice you were careful to say that you thought about my atronomy presentation and not directly about Mianus. This was carefully and gracefully worded on your part, leaving me no opening to expel any nonsense!
